On Friday 22nd November, James Caddick (MD) from The Regiment Support Service had the privilege of visiting Scottish Veterans Residences in Edinburgh which is charity that helps veterans who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. James was invited to a guided tour of the facilities at Whitefoord House where he also got the chance to meet and speak to some of the residents.

During the visit a cheque of £5,000 was presented to the trustees of the charity. James said "This has been a fantastic opportunity to see first hand the good work that SVR does for homeless veterans. The facilities and support network that is offered to the veterans is of a high standard and I can tell that they are well looked after and given every opportunity to get back into independant living. I would like to thank Martin, Colin and Kirsty for showing me around Whitefoord House and letting me meet the residents. I also congratulate them on the fantastic work that they do and wish them every success in the future."
Colin Leslie, Head of External Relations at SVR said: “It was our pleasure to welcome James to Edinburgh, and to give him the opportunity to see first-hand the work our charity does supporting Veterans from all over the UK. It was also fascinating to hear about the impact of the Regiment Support Service, including its charitable work and campaigns as a social enterprise. We are extremely grateful to receive such a kind and thoughtful donation, particularly at this time of year, and will be sure that it used to help deliver positive outcomes for our residents.”
