As we commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day, The Regiment Support Service is proud to announce that it has now donated a total of £23,000 to The Spirit of Normandy Trust. The trust is dedicated to the welfare and support of British Normandy Veterans, including enabling them to gather annually in Normandy each year to remember fallen comrades. This year the trust is taking 9 veterans over to Normandy to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings.

Managing Director James Caddick from Regiment Support Service who was lucky enough to spend time with the Normandy Veterans at a pre-departure dinner on Sunday 2nd June said “I am sure that most people are like me in that they can only imagine what it must have been like that day back in June 1944 which is why it is such a privilege to be here in person with the Normandy Veterans listening to their stories. It truly amazes me the energy and humor that the Normandy Veterans have and it is an honour to be around them. On behalf of all our supporters and sponsors I would like to say thank you for everything that they did in 1944 and may I wish them a safe and pleasant trip to Normandy over the coming days.”
